The estate of Robert W. Higginbotham sold a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 515 Timberneck Court in Hampton to Michael T. Headrick and Catherine E. Headrick for $280,000 on July 30.

The 2,217-square-foot house was built in 1965 in Langley View/Washington Gardens. It is part of the Elizabeth Lake Estates subdivision.

Higginbotham was a retired supervising engineer at Southern Bell Telephone Co., where he worked for 36 years. He also worked as a lineman for C & P Telephone Co.

He passed away on July 19.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,799 home sales in Hampton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $138,006.
