John C. Sowden and Kelly Reina Sowden sold a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 317 Pasture Lane in Hampton to Justin C. Hamm, Jenny N. Hamm and Kunkle Hamm for $223,400 on July 30.

The 1,730-square-foot home was built in 1964 in Sinclair Farms/Sherwood Park.

John Sowden is a system engineer at Northrop Grumman Information Technology, a McLean-headquartered information systems firm. He previously worked as a systems administrator and systems analyst at Northrop Grumman Information Systems.

He earned his associate degree in computer studies from the University of Maryland University College, his bachelor's degree in information science from Christopher Newport University and his master's degree in project management from Florida Institute of Technology.

Kelly Sowden is a teacher at Hampton City Schools.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,776 home sales in Hampton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $138,000.
