Suspect arrested in connection with First Stop robbery
The Hampton Police Division arrested a suspect in connection with the Oct. 21 robbery of the First Stop in the 2200 block of Executive Drive.
According to police, an armed John Rayshawn Rivera, 25, of the 5500 block of Finespun Last in Virginia Beach, entered the First Stop, demanded and took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
He was arrested and charged with one count of robbery, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of wearing a mask in public and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
