City of Hampton receives governmental budgeting award
The City of Hampton is the recipient of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2012 fiscal year from the Government Finance Officers Association.
This year marks the 15th time that Hampton has received the award, which was presented to the city's Budget and Management Analysis Office on Dec. 14.
According to the press release, Hampton's Budget Director Gloria Washington stated "The City of Hampton's citizen engagement activities have served the city's budget process well. The public input we receive, along with strategic policy and financial information, provide the blueprint for the city budget."
