Police arrest two teens in burglary at Hampton church

The Hampton Police Division arrested two teens Friday. Jan. 27 in connection with the burglary of a Hampton church.

Alec Grey Sassi, 18, of the 100 block of Woods Road, Newport News, and a 17-year-old Hampton juvenile were each charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. 

According to Hampton police, at about 3 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, the two allegedly broke into St. Mark's United Methodist Church in the first block of East Mercury Boulevard.  Police allege that the pair took an undisclosed amount of money and unspecified electronic devices before fleeing the scene.
