AARP offers free tax assistance to Hampton Roads residents
AARP, the senior advocacy group, is offering free tax assistance to Hampton Roads residents through April 17 at various locations.
On weekdays, services will be available:
-- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Hampton Community Center, 1638 Briartfield Road, Hampton;
-- from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, 2410 Wickham Ave., Newport News
-- from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Christian Church, 100 James River Drive, Newport News; and
-- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, 100 Cybernetics Way, Yorktown.
On Saturdays, assistance will be available from 9 a.m. to noon at the 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, 100 Cybernetics Way, Yorktown.
Tax assistance will also be available from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at the American Legion Hall Post 368, 368 American Legion Drive, Newport News.
