Hampton police identify murder victim
The Hampton Police Division has released the name of the man who was found dead earlier this week on Eastmoreland Drive; the man's suspicious death has lead to a homicide investigation.
Police say Newport News resident Tommy Arland Alley, 73, of the 100 block of Lockhaven Drive, died from asphyxiation.
They discovered Alley’s body around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 in a vacant residence located in the unit block of Eastmoreland Drive, after responding to a 911 call, according to a police report.
The investigation is ongoing.
