Hampton Police Division asks public to help ID masked robber

The Hampton Police Division is asking for help from the public to identify a suspect in the armed robbery of a city gas station Thursday night, March 8.

According to police, at 11:53 p.m. Thursday, a masked suspect entered the Sunoco gas station in the 1600 block of East Pembroke Avenue. After being given an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot. He was last seen running down Shelton Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, with a medium build. He was wearing a gray mask, black hooded jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.
