Hampton police seeks public's assistance in identifying larceny suspect

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who stole another woman’s wallet from the Miller Market in the first block of South Armistead Avenue on March 5.

The victim was in the market and left her wallet on the counter after making a purchase and leaving the store.  Another woman took the wallet moments later and ran out of the market. The wallet contained cash and credit cards.

The suspect was a white female in her early 20s with shoulder-length brown or black hair and wore a blue skirt with a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Hampton Police Division at 757-727-6111 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers remain anonymous and don’t appear in court. Callers are eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the call results in an arrest. Tipsters also can text information to the Hampton Police Division by using the keyword 757HPD and your tip to 847411 (tip411).
