Gloucester Arts on Main to display special exhibit by Hampton artist
Works by Hampton resident James Warwick Jones, a painter recognized in local art shows and festivals, is on display at Gloucester Arts on Main.
Jones studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and taught art in the Hampton Public Schools before devoting his time fully to painting.
His work focuses on nature, the manmade world or a combination of the two. He has received more than 100 awards, including the PFAC Award from the Peninsula Fine Arts Center.
Arts on Main, at 6580-B Main St. in Gloucester, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
