Virginia Choral Society to host upcoming shows

The Virginia Choral Society will present a bonus concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at the Downing Gross Cultural Arts Center, 2410 Wickham Ave., in Newport News.

The performance is free with open seating.

The concert is an encore performance of the Back To Broadway concert held last October.

The choir will perform a medley of music from Rodgers and Hammerstein, including Man of La Mancha, Climb Every Mountain and more.

Three additional performances, titled The Early Romantic Composers: Schubert, Mendelssohn and J.C. Bach, will be held at 8 p.m. April 27 at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 250 Fox Hill Road, Hampton, and 8 p.m. April 28 and 3 p.m. April 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6812 River Road, Newport News.
