The BID Bus returns to downtown Hampton and Coliseum Central
The BID bus is coming back for its second season in downtown Hampton and Coliseum Central.
The two districts are joining forces to provide the free bus for transportation between the districts this spring and summer season.
BID, or Business Improvement District, is an initiative that involves more than 800 businesses and property owners in the two districts committed to enhancing the physical beauty, commercial vitality and character of their districts. According to the press release, through innovative arts initiatives, special events and cooperative marketing programs, the BID plays a vital role in the success of Hampton.
The BID bus, a 27-passenger bus that will run on a 30-minute loop, will be available from noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays from April 20 to Oct. 27. The bus will stop at the Crowne Plaza hotel, and the intersection of Armistead and Settler’s Landing Road at Walgreens in downtown Hampton, and Embassy Suites and Town Square Park behind Barnes & Noble at Peninsula Town Center in Coliseum Central.
The BID bus program is in its second year and the two districts hope to add stops, days and times in the future.
