Balluzzo sweeps April 14 modified races at Langley Speedway
Shawn Balluzzo swept the Pepsi Twin 25-lap races in the KeesVacations.com Modifieds, which was the featured event for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Langley Speedway on Saturday, April 14.
Balluzzo started on the pole in the first race after hitting 87.27 miles per hour, a new division record, and led from start to finish.
Anthony Kincaid finished second while Mike Rudy, Todd VanGuilder and Cameron Patrick rounded out the top five.
Bulluzzo was also on the pole for the second race and once again led the entire way. Rudy was second and Kincaid took third. Patrick and Casey Wyatt filled out the top five.
Mark Claar won the 40-lap Pepsi Grand Stock race, jumping out to an early lead and hanging on for the win. Paul Lubno placed second and Mark Frye finished third. Tommy Sweeney and Carl Livingston were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Renno Marchetti IV rolled to a win in the 40-lap Heritage Motor Co. Super Street Feature, holding off defending champion Ryan Nester. Nester placed second.
Dale Parro took third. John Pereira and Rod Busitzky filled out the top five.
Nick Smith edged Brad Hancock for the victory in the 25-lap Cycle City Corp INEX Legends Race. Steve Keesee, Spencer Saunders and Jamie Price were in the top five as well.
Ryleigh Lemonds led from start to finish in the 20-lap Xtreme Mechanical Services INEX Bandolero race.
Alex McCollum finished as the runner-up and Evan Horne crossed the line in third.
Cameron Bowen and Bradley Wilson rounded out the top five.
