NASCAR Whelen All-American Series continues April 21
The EZ Auto in Newport News Late Model Stock Car division will headline the the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series on Saturday, April 21 with two 50-lap races at the Langley Speedway.
It will be Carl's Racing Products Night at the track.
The Larry King Law Super Trucks (25 laps), SavitaPets.com UCARs (25 laps), the Standard Welding Pro Sixes (30 laps) and the Cook's Moving Service Enduros (40 laps) are also part of the lineup.
Gates will open at 2 p.m. and time trials are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Prerace fesitivities begin at 6:55 p.m. and the action gets started just after 7 p.m. with the Pro Sixes races.
Adult tickets are $10 and tickets are $5 for children ages 6-12. Military personnel and senior citizens will receive $2 off the cost of a ticket. Children under 6 are free when accompanied by an adult.
Family Packs are also availabe for $25.. They include two adult and two children tickets.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the speedway office or online at www.langley-speedway.com. The speedway is at 11 Dale Lemonds Drive in Hampton. Fans can call the speedway for more information at 757-865-7223 (RACE).
Langley Speedway will not be open April 28 because of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series action at Richmond International Raceway.
However, Langley Late Model drivers C.E. Falk, Greg Edwards and Nick Smith will compete at the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown on April 26 in Richmond. Falk won the event in 2010.
Racing will return to Langley Speedway on May 5 for the Whelen USG Night. The lineup will include the EZ Auto in Newport News Late Models (two 50-lap races), the Cycle City Corp. INEX Legends (25 laps), the SavitaPets.com UCARS (25 laps) and the Standard Welding Pro Sixes (30 laps).
