Peninsula Chamber of Commerce to hold military job fair April 26
The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is hosting a military job fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton.
The fair will feature seminars that aim to provide tools to get hired and employers looking to hire. Seminars include How to Work a Job Fair at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., How to Negotiate a Salary at 10 a.m. and an employer panel at 11 a.m.
The free event, sponsored by the Military Affairs Council of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Military Family Support Centers Employment Programs, is open to active-duty, recently separated and retired members of the military, reservists, Department of Defense civilians and their dependents. No reservation is required. Business attire is mandatory.
Sponsorships and employer tables are still available for the event for prices ranging from $500 to $2,500 depending on the package.
