NARFE Peninsula Chapter 682 meeting scheduled for June 11
The National Active Retired Federal Employee Peninsula Chapter 682 will meet at 10:30 a.m. June 11 in the Brittingham-Midtown Center, 570 McLawhorne Drive, Newport News.
Guest speaker Cynthia Keppel, the scientific and technical director of Hampton University’s Proton Therapy Institute, will discuss her work researching cancer treatment programs.
Keppel is also a university-endowed professor of physics at Hampton University and a staff scientist at the Department of Energy Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.
Refreshments will be served before the meeting at 10 a.m.
The meeting is open to active or retired civilian and federal employees.
