Liberty Baptist Church offers variety of classes over summer
The Liberty Baptist Church is offering many summer classes for people of all ages, including an eight-week course on how to plan an estate.
Set Your House in Order will teach those who participate how to put your financial matters in order, such as organizing, planning and creating his or her estate. The cost is $15 and Jerry Compton will teach the course.
Making the Most of Marriage is designed to teach participants about the differences between a husband and a wife and how to build healthy relationships with guidance from Biblical teachings. The cost is $8.
Another class the church offers helps participants to connect with their children no matter what age they are. Raising Boys and Girls: The Art of Understanding Their Differences teaches parents and guardians tools needed to communicate and understand children, according to a release from the church. The cost is $11 and it will be held from 6-7:15 p.m. Wednesdays.
Other classes that will be from 6-7:15 p.m. Wednesdays, include: Forgiveness: Have the Funeral, which will be held for six weeks and costs $9; free activities for children; Gospel Revolution, an eight-week study on how the Gospel works in people’s hearts, which costs $13; GriefShare, a support group for people who have lost loved ones, which costs $20; GROW Outreach, a volunteer program held one Wednesday night a month during which participants can minister through letter writing, phone calls and visits; a men-only Kingdom Man, a study on empowering men, which costs $13; and prayer meetings.
Celebrate Recovery, a support group for people dealing with alcoholism, divorce, domestic violence and addictions to drugs, food, sex and gambling. There is no cost to join the class but participants have to buy workbooks; however, scholarships are available. These classes are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays at the church.
