Beauty for Ashes announces upcoming events
Beauty for Ashes Dance and Theatre Company Inc. has announced their schedule of upcoming events.
The Arts Save Lives Panel will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at the Beauty for Ashes studio, 5 W. Queens Way, Suite A, Hampton. The topic of panel is “From the Mouths of Babes: Children Talk about the Influence on the Arts in their Lives.” Panelists include Beauty for Ashes students Moraa Omwango, Imani Highsmith and apprentice Dar’Rell Shields. The panelists will discuss how dancing and the arts have been important in their lives. The event is free and open to the public.
The Local Artists’ Mixer is set for 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at the Beauty for Ashes Studio. Local artists from the Hampton Roads area are invited to attend. Participants will have an opportunity to meet other local artists. Guest singer Rachel Fox will perform during the event. The mixer is free and open to the public.
Beauty for Ashes is offering a kick-boxing class from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Mondays at the studio. Classes are $5 each.
