Old Point announces appointment of senior executive vice presidents
Old Point National Bank has announced the promotions of Robert Shuford Jr. and Joseph Witt to the position of senior executive vice president.
Shuford joined Old Point in 1998 and had been serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In his new position, he will maintain the role of chief operating officer and oversee the retail, operations, information technology, applications, facilities and security, loan processing and marketing departments. Since 2008, he has also served on the board of directors of the bank, as well as Old Point Financial Corporation.
Witt will also assume the role of chief administrative officer. He will oversee commercial lending, corporate banking and treasury services, credit administration, finance and compliance, human resources and the training department. He also represents Old Point’s interest in Old Point Mortgage LLC.
Witt joined Old Point as an executive vice president in 2008. He had previously served as treasurer of Ferguson Enterprises Inc. In 2006, he became a member of Old Point National Bank’s Newport News Regional Board. He was elected to the board of directors of Old Point Financial Corporation, Old Point National Bank and Old Point Trust and Financial Services in 2007.
