Liberty Tax to provide no obligation tax preparer certification classes
Free basic income tax classes are being offered through Liberty Tax Service starting this fall.
The tax school is a 10-week commitment and small fees for books and supplies. Classes meet twice a week during the day or in the evening and will cover personal tax-savings advantages and strategies. The basic course is also offered online at libertytax.com/tax-education.html.
"Anyone and everyone can take our classes," Raymond D. Nations, EA, owner of the Nickerson Boulevard location of Liberty Tax Service, in a press release. "The main requirement is the willingness to learn individual tax preparation and apply the tax code to many situations. It's a great refresher for the latest changes and life changes affecting our students."
Nations plans to fill 20 positions at his tax office by tax season. To register for a class, contact 1-800-658-1042.
Liberty Tax Service is located at 2094 Nickerson Blvd., Hampton.
