Kecoughtan High School earns Hampton Green School Award
Kecoughtan High School received the 2012 Hampton Green School Award on Oct. 16 from the Hampton Clean City Commission.
According to a press release, Kecoughtan High School students, staff and the school community earned the award in part by establishing trash containers around the school grounds and participating in regular school beautification activities.
The award is given to schools for their accomplishments in litter prevention, recycling, beautification, energy and water conservation, environmental stewardship activities and opportunities and the integration of environmental education into both classroom and extracurricular activities.
Kecoughtan High School is at 522 Woodland Road, Hampton.
